State-by-state rollout

Prediction products inside a retail brokerage app.

Robinhood is a retail brokerage that has added event-contract / prediction products in some states. Rollout is operator-defined — not a fifty-state all-clear.

What is Robinhood?

Event contracts are offered by Robinhood Derivatives, LLC, a CFTC-registered futures commission merchant (a regulated futures broker), through other CFTC-registered exchanges: KalshiEX, ForecastEX, Rothera Exchange and Clearing, or North American Derivatives Exchange. Where those products appear, quotes typically use the same $0–$1 convention as a standalone exchange. The app is not itself the exchange. This page compares the product line. It is not a referral.

Who is Robinhood for?

People already in a Robinhood brokerage workflow who want to read — and, if eligible, trade — event contracts without opening a separate exchange login. If you’re not already on the app, compare Kalshi and the sportsbook-branded verticals on their own terms.

How do prices work on Robinhood?

Illustrative Yes · 48¢ ($0.48)

  • Where offered, a 48¢ Yes is a $0.48 share inside the $0–$1 band.
  • Do not convert the price to a Robinhood stock quote or an options premium. It is an event-contract style price, not a share of the company.
  • Fees, margin, and settlement details are Robinhood’s. We show cents so you can compare the quote — not so we can replace the in-app ticket.

What can you trade on Robinhood?

  • Politics and elections, where the product is enabled
  • Economics and official prints, where listed
  • Other event-contract categories Robinhood chooses to surface

How is Robinhood different from other prediction markets?

  • The app is not itself the designated contract market, and it is not the crypto site polymarket.com.
  • State rollout is operator-defined. Do not copy one state’s screen onto another.
  • It is not FanDuel Predicts or DraftKings Predictions.

What are the fees?

Robinhood commission effective June 1, 2026, checked October 20, 2026. On a Kalshi product, 100 contracts at 50¢ cost $2.00 in fees: $1.00 commission plus $1.00 exchange fee.

Bank transfer, debit card, or wire. Instant deposits may not be available for event contracts.

Withdrawal methods

Winnings move to your event contract buying power. Transfer them to your brokerage account, then withdraw.

Payout timeHow long a withdrawal takes once you request it, as Robinhood states it.

Winning proceeds reach your event contract buying power by the next business day after the event ends. The bank withdrawal after that takes additional time.

Are there bonuses or promotions?

None verifiedNo prediction-specific promo
Robinhood’s public prediction-market and event-contract pages describe how contracts work inside the brokerage app. They do not publish a Predicts-style welcome credit. Robinhood does run a separate new-customer stock reward on the taxable brokerage account. That is a different product.

Terms highlights

  • Do not treat a fractional-stock signup reward as event-contract credit.
  • Prediction-product access is still state- and approval-specific inside the app.
  • Any “Robinhood prediction promo code” on a third-party page is not a source we will repeat.

Eligibility / geo. Event-contract eligibility is operator-defined and is not the same map as cash equities. Confirm in-app.

Event-contract trading risks money you can lose. Responsible trading.

Where is Robinhood available?

Prediction products inside Robinhood roll out state by state and product by product. A user who can buy stocks in a state may still be blocked from event contracts. Confirm the in-app screen.
  • Eligibility screens inside Robinhood always win.
  • Stock-trading access is not prediction-product access.
  • Dated state notes on this site are snapshots, not a live API.

Robinhood by state

Available means Robinhood’s own state list names that market type in the state; Not offered means its list leaves the state out; Check status means it publishes no list for that market type, or a court or regulator action that names Robinhood makes the listing uncertain.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • USD framing and cents / $0–$1 quotes where the product is live
  • No separate crypto wallet required for this comparison entry
  • Useful for readers who want event contracts next to a brokerage home screen

Cons

  • Not available in every state, and not on the same map as cash equities
  • Catalog can be narrower than a standalone event-contract exchange
  • Rollout language goes stale quickly — re-check the app
  • No partnership or funding incentive from this site

Common questions

Does Robinhood offer prediction markets?
In some states, through Robinhood Derivatives and other CFTC-registered exchanges. The footprint is operator-defined. Confirm in-app rather than trusting a third-party map — including ours.
How are Robinhood prediction prices quoted?
Where offered, they typically use $0–$1 / cents language. A 48¢ Yes is $0.48 per contract.
If I can trade stocks, can I trade event contracts?
Not automatically. Product approvals and geofences differ. Read the state guide, then the in-app eligibility screen.
Is PredictionMarketsUSA.com a Robinhood partner?
No. Comparison listing only.

Prices discussed here are cents or $0–$1 shares only. Informational — not legal advice, and not a solicitation.
