What is Sporttrade?
Sporttrade stopped accepting wagers on May 25, 2026, in New Jersey, Colorado, Iowa, Arizona, and Virginia — the five states where it had run an exchange-style sports-trading product. Legal Sports Report reported the shutdown the week before. RotoWire reported that the company stopped accepting wagers in all five states that day. It is not currently operating.
Sporttrade’s homepage now says it is re-entering the market soon and asks people to join a waitlist. The same page invites FCMs and market makers to get in touch. A waitlist is not an open book, and an institutional form is not a retail account.
CFTC filings list Sporttrade DCO LLC as Registered on October 16, 2026, permitted to clear fully collateralized futures, options on futures, and swaps. Sporttrade DCM LLC is still listed as Pending, dated January 27, 2026. Pending is not designated. This page does not treat a future federal product as open.
