What is Polymarket?

Polymarket US is the version of Polymarket built for U.S. users. QCX LLC, doing business as Polymarket US, was designated a CFTC contract market on July 9, 2025, and its trades clear through QC Clearing LLC, doing business as Polymarket Clearing, a CFTC-registered clearing organization. You fund it in dollars and trade Yes/No contracts on sports, politics, crypto, economics, weather, tech, and culture. Polymarket’s international site is a separate, crypto-based product. Do not conflate polymarket.com with polymarket.us — confirm which product the screen is showing. We list it for comparison. No wallet connect here.

Who is Polymarket for?

U.S. readers who want a CFTC-regulated exchange, dollar funding, and a deep sports and politics board. Start with the cents quote and the market rules. Then confirm your state in the app; Polymarket US says it is not available in Nevada.

How do prices work on Polymarket?

Illustrative Yes · 71¢ ($0.71)

  • A 71¢ Yes is discussed as a $0.71 contract — or a 71% reading aid. The percent column is not a forecast from this site.
  • On Polymarket US, a winning contract settles at $1.00 and a losing one at $0.00. The international crypto site uses crypto collateral instead.
  • Always read the resolution source and the window. Two 71¢ prices are not comparable if the rule differs.

What can you trade on Polymarket?

  • Sports: NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, college sports, tennis, golf, and more
  • Politics and elections
  • Crypto, commodities, and economics
  • Weather, tech, and culture

How is Polymarket different from other prediction markets?

  • Polymarket’s global site is crypto-collateral. Kalshi is a different CFTC exchange. Robinhood offers event contracts through other CFTC-registered exchanges.
  • Polymarket US runs its own CFTC-designated exchange in dollars. The international crypto site is close-only for U.S. users. Do not copy a Kalshi-style state assumption onto either Polymarket product.
  • There is no sportsbook brand and no retail brokerage app. The comparison is the cents scale and the resolution text.

Verified public termsPolymarket US incentive docs
Polymarket US publishes incentive-program terms. The documented Deposit Incentive “Campaign A” example on that page (reviewed this October 28, 2026 snapshot) is a $25 credit after a qualifying $10 deposit — only for the campaign presented at onboarding, via a code or link, before that deposit. Confirm which campaign is presented. This is not a finding that every U.S. resident can open an account today.

Terms highlights

  • Incentives are promotional trading credits. Official docs say they may be used to open positions and pay fees, and may not be withdrawn as cash.
  • Each participant may receive one deposit-incentive credit. You qualify only for the campaign shown to you.
  • A Refer-A-Friend write-up on the same page uses the same Campaign A $10 / $25 example, with a 50-referral cap. Confirm which campaign is presented.
  • Polymarket US may withhold or reverse credits for abuse. Daily-trading details were still marked “once the program is live” on the page we reviewed.

Eligibility / geo. Polymarket US says trading is not available in Nevada. A documented incentive is not a nationwide on-ramp. Confirm the operator geofence before treating any credit as reachable.

Where is Polymarket available?

Polymarket US says it is legal nationwide and that trading is currently not available in Nevada. In Ohio, the Casino Control Commission told Polymarket US on October 2, 2026 to stop offering sports contracts without a state license, and Polymarket US has sued; see the Ohio page. Polymarket’s international crypto site is close-only for U.S. users: you can close existing positions there but not open new ones.
  • Do not assume U.S. access from a national or global headline.
  • polymarket.com and polymarket.us are separate products. Check which one the screen is showing.
  • Our state pages flag this uncertainty; they do not certify access.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Widely followed for politics and world-event prices
  • Cents / implied-probability quotes match how this site teaches prices
  • Global event catalog that is not a U.S. sportsbook vertical
  • Useful as a reading comparison even when you cannot trade

Cons

  • Two products — do not assume polymarket.com access equals Polymarket US approval
  • Geoblocks and product rules change without a homepage update here
  • No affiliate path and no “connect wallet” on this site — by design

Common questions

Is Polymarket available in the United States?
Yes, through Polymarket US. QCX LLC d/b/a Polymarket US was designated a CFTC contract market on July 9, 2025, and Polymarket US says trading is available nationwide except Nevada. Polymarket’s international crypto site is close-only for U.S. users. Confirm in the app; this page is not a nationwide all-clear.
How should I read a Polymarket price?

Does this site connect a wallet?
No. PredictionMarketsUSA.com has no wallet, deposit, or trade button. Polymarket is listed for comparison and education only.
Is this an affiliate page?
No. Independent listing — no partner or affiliate relationship.
