Event contracts vs sportsbook lines
A sportsbook posts American or decimal odds under a state gaming license. Prediction products are often framed as event contracts, crypto markets, or something in between. They do not inherit the sportsbook’s state map.
FanDuel Predicts or DraftKings Predictions, where launched, can miss a state that already has the sportsbook — or show up where the book is dark. A CFTC venue can do the same in reverse.
A championship Yes at 41¢ is forty-one cents, not +144 odds. We leave the moneyline conversion to the sportsbook. Illustrative — not a live book.

Champion, series winner, and award markets name a league source and a cutoff. Two venues can price “the same” title differently if the rule differs.
