Did the name show up in a listed source, in a listed window? That’s the whole contract. Yes or No. The cents on this page are mock prices — not a real-money book.

How mention contracts resolve
Yes usually pays if the name appears at least once in an eligible source during the window. No pays if it doesn’t. The contract text is the rule — not a headline vibe.
Sources are usually named: a major U.S. newspaper, a congressional record, a scheduled speech, an official transcript. Off the list? It doesn’t count.
The window can be a week, a month, or one address. Read the period before you read a 62¢ price.

Eligible sources
Major U.S. news outlets, congressional records, presidential speeches, and official transcripts are common allow-lists. Social posts usually do not count unless named.

Name and reference rules
Some contracts require the legal name; others allow clear titles or well-known short forms. Ambiguous nicknames are a frequent dispute point.
All examples are mock contracts for informational reading only. No real money is involved on this site.
